music video

I appreciated how the music video focuses on narrative rather than performance. The entire theme of the song connects directly to each scene, illustrating how, in our daily lives, we sometimes feel the need to run away—to the edges of the earth—because life and even our own thoughts can become overwhelming. However, the video also reminds us that behind the scenes there is our Creator, who sees every detail of our lives and will not let us fall. No matter how far we run, He is always with us.

The impact that this music video had on my perception and mental state on a day-to-day basis is something I hope to recreate in my own project. I want my music video to connect with the audience emotionally through its narrative and leave a lasting impression.

I am also drawing inspiration from the music video “You Say.” Lighting plays a significant role in Daigle’s video, and it demonstrates that there is no need for elaborate performance or choreography to create something powerful. Instead, the atmosphere and lighting enhance the meaning of the song. A heavily performance-based video could distract from the lyrics and make it overwhelming to both watch and listen. Similarly, I plan to use natural lighting in my own music video. Since spring is beginning, the sunsets are intense and golden, providing ideal lighting for the field scenes I want to film.

What I enjoyed most about “So Easy” is how effortless it felt to watch. The transitions were extremely smooth, and I was impressed by how naturally each scene blended into the next. There was a continuous visual flow that created the feeling of a story unfolding in real time. This matched the pace of the song perfectly—consistent, calm, and easy to follow.

All three album covers I analysed feature the artist prominently. However, I chose to take a more minimalist approach for my own design. Instead of including the artist, my album cover will focus on a handkerchief blowing in the wind, set against a clear blue sky. The only text present will be Creation House’s logo, placed subtly at the bottom centre of the cover, allowing the visual elements to be the main focus.

For the back cover, I was inspired by Olivia Dean’s design, a solid colour background combined with a small square image positioned in the centre. This image will be a scene from the music video, specifically the moment when the handkerchief blows across Darius’s face, creating a visual link between the album artwork and the video.

The instagram page will consist of behind the scene shots, bloopers, reels promoting the message of the song "Haina de Lauda" and the groups name "Refill --> Overflow"
